Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode with a detecting level free from irregularity by a construction wherein the plural number of electrode boards with openings inside which an electrode has been formed and the plural number of shielded plates covered with insulating material are piled one after the other and incorporated in a body. CONSTITUTION:Conductive material is attached to the surface of an insulated electrode board 11 in which the plural number of openings 11a for passing ink drops are made at regular intervals at one end of the board, and onto the internal surfaces of the openings 11a, in order to form an electrode 12. The whole surface of a shielded plate 13, in which the plural number of openings 13a for passing ink drops are made at regular intervals at one end of the plate, is covered with insulating material 14. The plural number of the board 11 and that of the shielded plates 13 are piled one after the other and incorporated in a body. The electrode 12 in the opening 11a of the board 11 sandwiched between two shielded plates 13 is used as a detecting electrode, while the electrode 12 of the opening 11a of another board 11 is used as a charging electrode.
