Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize machining of an entire circumference with accuracy by maintaining a required cutting amount at all times, when conducting machining process using wire-cut, by vibrating a wire electrode forcibly. CONSTITUTION:After conducting rough machining of a required shape by wire-cut, a fine cutting amount l is given to a wire electrode 1, and re-machining of the required shape is conducted. At this re-machining time, a vibration above 100Hz is given to the wire electrode 1 by vibrating devices 12 and 13. By vibrating the wire electrode forcibly in this fashion, it becomes possible to satisfactorily remove chips and foams, etc. occuring in a gap between side surface of the wire 1 and a work 6 during machining process, eliminate bending of the wire, maintain the required cutting amount at all times, enable machining of an entire circumference with an extremely high accuracy and finish cut section cleanly.
