CONSTITUTION:A timer circuit 26 acts synchronously with the output of a resistor short-circuit condition detecting circuit 21 to supply an output after a prescribed time. The output of a current detection circuit 14 is supplied to a current reduction circuit 23 to apply a quantity of reduction proportional to a braking current. Even if an aerial conductor voltage limiter 20 is acting and the current of a motor is reduced below a braking current pattern, the current reduction quantity at the time of short-circuiting of a resistor 10 is proportional to the current actually flowing through the motor. This results in preventing a drawback such that a current relay drops off due to an excessive reduction quantity.
