Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled agent, capable of showing a remarkable effect as an agricultural and horticultural agent, an antifungal agent, etc. with low toxicity, and comprising a complex obtained by reacting a soluble salt of a dithiocarbamate with a soluble metallic salt in the presence of an oxidizing agent and an inorganic acid as an active constituent.
CONSTITUTION: The titled agent comprising a complex obtained by reacting a compound of formula I [X is a bivalent aliphatic chain, xylylene or polyalkylenepolyamine residue; Y and Y' are H (however not H at the same time), higher alkyl or group of formula II or III (m is 0,1,2 or 3; R is H or alkyl: R3 is H, alkyl, phenyl, etc.), etc.], with a soluble metallic salt, e.g. zinc chloride, in the presence of an oxidizing agent, hydrogen peroxide, and an inorganic acid, e.g. sulfuric acid, as an active constituent. The agent is useful as an agricultural and horticultural agent and a control agent against molds of a film, slime in cooling water, etc. without leaving toxic substances in a human body or useful organism after the action thereof.
