Abstract
PURPOSE:To make less the guard band noise at slow mode and still reproduction, by recording the video signal at still state through intermittent run of tape and reproduction with alternate state of a given speed and standstill. CONSTITUTION:While the tape is in run state with an input pulse, the recording timing of the control signal is determined with the number of stages of shift registers 31, 32, and if it is taken, for example, as k/2 stages respectively, the signal is delayed by just one vertical period than the output pulse generating time from the counter circuit 29. The playback signal A is the signal B with a delay of the delay time being the pulse width tau at the delay circuit 40, and the control pulse signal with one vertical period is obtained in the pulse width tau, by taking exclusive logical sum between the signals A and B. At the playback in a normal speed, the timing matching with the vertical synchronizing signal is made by feeding the control pulse C to the phase comparator 7. At slow playback, the pulse C is input to the shift register 32 to determine the amount of intermittent feed.
