In this case, tracking operation is carried out by tracking servomechanism 7 so as to remove a noise band. A head start signal is included in an interruption input to microcomputer 12 and in an interruption processing routine, delaying is periodically done by a needed value that corresponds to the variable-speed magnifying rate to generate a false vertical synchronizing signal, which is added to a reproduced video signal. A servocontrol signal is also delayed by the microcomputer. Since an integer relation is born between the clock frequency and delay value, the delayed value is made accurate.
