Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide steel products suitable for a steam turbine moving blade, having a specified composition contg. C, Cr, etc., and showing superior mechanical properties, especially toughness.
CONSTITUTION: The titled steel products consist of, by wt., ≤0.05% C, 11W18% Cr, 2W7% Ni, 0.5W4% Mo, ≤1% Si, ≤3% Mn, and the balance Fe and impurities. The products have high corrosion fatigue strength and superior mechanical properties, especially toughness. When static tensile stress acts on the products, the strength and internal friction are hardly lowered. By further adding ≤0.5% Ti and/or ≤1% Nb to the said composition, the corrosion fatigue strength is increased and the tempering temp. can be raised, resulting in stable mechanical properties.
