Abstract
PURPOSE: To sample underground water at an invariably constant flow rate by pumping up the underground water within the invariably-constant range of lift, by moving a ram that pumps up the underground water and a gas-liquid separation chamber that separates radon gas according to the fluctuation of the water level of the underground water.
CONSTITUTION: Underground water, pumped up by ram 12 from collection outlet A through filter 10, is sampled and sampled underground water is supplied to gas- liquid separation chamber 14, where underwater radon is separated as radon gas, which is exhausted from scupper B. Ram 12 that pumps up the underground water and gas/liquid separation chamber 14 that separates radon gas are moved according to the water level of the underground water. When passing through α-rays detector 18, its radon concentration is detected and continuously measured electrically by scaler 20.
