Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the heat-exchanging efficiency and maintainability of the heat exchanger by a method wherein heat-pipe assemblies are arranged in such a staggered and slanted manner that the evaporation parts are kept at higher places and the slanting direction is alternately changed, and the evaporation parts are shielded from the condensation parts by partition walls, in the case of recoverying waste heat in textile industry or the like.
CONSTITUTION: When high-temperature waste liquid 12 or the like is introduced into evaporation-part chambers 11, the liquid 12 flows along the recesses of corrugated plates 4, then falls from drop ports 10 at the evaporation parts 1, casuging the heat-pipe assembly 5 at the lower stage to operate, and falls sequentially from stage to stage. On the other hand, at the condensation parts 2 of the heat pipes 3, the working liquid having received heat at the evaporation parts 1 releases heat to a fluid 14 to be heated. The fluid 14 also falls sequentially from stage to stage through outflow ports 6 and is heated. Accordingly, the heat exchanger which is simple in structure, having an enhanced heat-exchanging efficiency, free from fear of clogging and easy to maintain can be obtained.
