Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the closed-type compressor, which is designed to heat refrigerant in a closed case by utilizing heat generation of a positive-characteristic thermistor, from abnormal overheating and also to enable the refrigerant to be heated efficiently, by using a thermoswitch for operating ON-OFF control automatically.
CONSTITUTION: As a power source switch 26 is closed, current starts passing a main coil 24 and an auxiliary coil 25 through a starting capacitor 28 to start an electric motor 13. And induction field from the main coil 24 causes induced voltage to an induction coil 29, and current passes a positive-characteristic thermistor 20 to generate heat. And therefore, refrigerant flowing in a discharging pipe 19 in a compressor is heated by the positive characteristic thermistor 20. And, in case if the inside temperature of the compressor became higher than the temperature set by a thermoswitch 22, the thermoswitch 22 becomes in an open position, and the refrigerant is not heated. It is possible, by doing so, to ensure prevention of the compressor from being overheated abnormally.
