Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the foamed article having a high percentage of open cell in the condition that the desired form is retained by forming the foamed article which is composed of specified qualities of polyolefin resin and 1,2-polybutadiene resin and whose percentage of open cell is 50% or more. CONSTITUTION:5-50pts.wt. of 1,2-polybutadiene resin is mixed in 100pts.wt. of polyolefin resin and is melted and kneaded together with a foaming agent at a higher temperature than the extrusion resin temperature on the occasion of preparation of an article with closed cell and under high pressure. Next, the material thus prepared is extruded into a low pressure area at the temperature of 10 deg.C or less and thereby the foamed article with open cell of polyolefin resin whose percentage of open cell is 50% or more is prepared. As the foaming agent, a low-boiling organic compound whose boiling point under constant pressure is in the range of -60-50 deg.C is suited. The fine powder of baking soda, calcium carbonate and the like may be added thereto so as to adjust the size of a bubble.
