Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate influences of the residual pattern jitters and timing, by converting a noise component proportional to an input noise component into a thermal noise from a different noise generator and then by applying it to a base-band demodulated signal. CONSTITUTION:Noise generator 25 generates a pure white signal of the same frequency band with noise component g'' outputted from filter 18 and AGC amplifier 26 amplifies it. Noise component g'' detected by detectors 23 and 24 and the noise component from generator 25 are supplied to comparator 29 for a level comparison and its error output is negatively fed back to amplifier 26. As a result, noise converting circuit 30 generates a pure white noise output which varies in level with component g''. Then, the output, after being adjusted to a proper level by attenuator 19, is applied as noise component g' to adder 20 and added to demodulated band signal (b) or (c) to obtain a base band signal with the noise component increased. Consequently, component g' never has the residual pattern jitters and timing components such as component g''.
