Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled substance from an organic layer, by reacting acetonitril with methanol, etc. and hydrogen chloride, subjecting the reaction product to alcoholysis at a pH adjusted with added ammonia, and bringing the alcoholysis product into contact with an aqueous alkali.
CONSTITUTION: Acetonitrile is reacted with methanol or ethanol and hydrogen chloride at a molar ratio of 1:0.3W0.6:1.0W1.5 in the first reactor, and the reaction solution is then introduced into the second reactor. 0.4W0.8mol methanol or ethanol is added to the second reactor to continue the reaction. The resultant acetimid ether hydrochloride is subjected to alcoholysis at a pH adjusted to 0.5W3.5 by addition of ammonia to produce the titled substance, which is then brought into contact with an aqueous alkali to collect the aimed substance from the organic layer.
EFFECT: Continuous supply of HCl and quantitative transfer of the reaction solution are possible, and the continuous reaction can be carried out. Purifying operation can be carried out efficiently with reduced load of waste water treatment.
