Abstract

PURPOSE: To contact a heating part with a recording paper properly and enhance the quality of printed pictures by a method wherein the metallic base plate is provided with a groove, then a glass body having a predetermined volume is placed in the groove and melted in situ to unite it with the base plate.
CONSTITUTION: The base plate 14 is made of a metal capable of exhibiting good adherence to the glass body 16, such as Kovar, and the surface thereof is smoothened. The glass body 16 is placed in the groove 15 which is V-shaped in cross section. The volume of the glass body 16 is so set as to fill up the groove 15d and to from a projected part of 30W200μm on the surface of the base plate 14. Then the base plate 14 and the glass body 16 thereon are placed in a furnace and heated to melt the glass body 16 and unite the two bodies.
