Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the burn of the combustible filter in a dust collecting apparatus to be prevented by operating a shutter by a heat sensing means which senses the heat near the noncombustible auxiliary filter disposed between a suction port and the combustible main filter.
CONSTITUTION: The dust-laden air sucked through a suction port 11 into the air flow passage of a fire-preventing device 2 is captured of high-temp. coarse powder dusts such as spatter by an auxiliary filter 13, after which is goes via a connecting hose 3 into a dust collector main body 1, where it is removed of the remaining powder dusts by a main filter 6 and is exhausted therefrom by becoming clean air. When combustible materials adhere and deposit in the air flow passages on long- term use and are ignited by high-temp. coarse powder dusts such as spatter, the combustibles having adhered on the filter 13 always burn and the solder part 17 which is the heat sensing part of the heat sensing shutter device disposed near the filter 13 melts. Then, a turning cover 15 is pressed by a pre-pressed spring 16, and turns downward, thereby immediately closing the air passage connecting the device 2 and the main body 1.
