Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the working time for manufacturing as well as enhance the reliability of an ultrasonic probe, by connecting electrically the metal material to the ultrasonic oscillator component having the electrodes on two faces and then cutting the oscillator component into an array form so that the metal material may be included into a piece of the component. CONSTITUTION:A connection is given through the soldering or other methods between the component 1a of an ultrasonic oscillator and the conductive material 5a. Then both the component 1a and the material 5a are adhered to the parking component 2, and then the component 1a is cut into an array form. In this case, the material 5a is included into a piece of the array of the component 1a, and thus the common electrode can be extracted out of several units of oscillator 1 via the material 5a. To obtain the ultrasonic wave from this ultrasonic probe, a sudden change of voltage is applied between the common electrode and the face B of the ultrasonic oscillator to be vibrated. Thus the short circuit can be avoided between the electrodes on both surfaces of the probe since the component is cut after a connection secured between the component 1a and the material 5a. As a result, the reliability can be enhanced for the ultrasonic probe.
