Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an approach-run distance as short as possible by providing a single blade between a developing part and a squeeze part and disposing the contact part in proximity to the squeeze device in such a manner that the contact angle of its end and photoreceptor surface becomes <=90 deg.. CONSTITUTION:In a copying machine of a system of rotating a drumlike photoreceptor 1 and performing copying process while cyclically moving the peripheral surface thereof in a fixed direction, utilizing the dry type developing device disposed below the photoreceptor 1 for photoreceptor cleaning and rotating the photoreceptor approximately twice since charging of the photoreceptor until the end of the transferring of visible images, the contact angle theta between the edge of a blade 70 and the developing part side of the photoreceptor is made <=90 deg., whereby the contact position thereof may be placed as approached to a squeeze device 6; in addition, the developing solution existing between the blade 70 and the squeeze plate 6 becomes small in amount at the cleaning starting, whereby the approach-run distance may be shortened.
