Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce solvent vapor evolved from a copying machine, by rendering the outside diameter of a sqeeze roller constant, and providing intermediate plates of minute thickness in both ends outside an image forming region between an electrostatic latent image face and the squeeze roller. CONSTITUTION:Squeeze roller 11 rotating in the arrow direction is pressed elastically to photosensitive drum 5. Intermediate plates 12 of minute thickness are placed between roller 11 and drum 5 in both ends outside an image forming region, and the surface of roller 11 and that of drum 5 do not contact each other. Doctor blade 13 pressed into contact with the surface of roller 11 removes a developing fluid attached to the surface of roller 11, thus permitting the solvent vapor evolved out of the machine to be reduced in this excess developing fluid removing device.
