Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the boiler control and to perform effectively desulfurization and reduction of NOx in the fluid layer boiler which uses coal as its fuel by supplying separately coarse coal and fine particle coal obtained by crushing crude coal to different places specified in the fluid layer in the boiler.
CONSTITUTION: In the fluid layer boiler, the crude coal is crushed by such as a crusher not shown and transferred to a hopper 18 through a pipe 17. The crushed coal is further transferred to a grader 20 such as a shaking sieve. The coarse coal passes through a shoot and the like into a coarse coal hopper 21, whereas the fine particle coal is accumulated in another hopper 22 disposed below the shaking sieve. The coarse coal is transferred through a measuring conveyor 23, a screw feeder 24 and a scatterer 25 to be scattered over the fluid layer in the fluid layer boiler body 1. On the other hand, the fine particle coal is transferred through a pair of pipes 28a, 28b to a pair of burners 29a, 29b and burned in the layer. In this instance, a appropriate amount of fine particles of limestone is suplied from a pair of pipes 30a, 30b to be mixed into the five particle coal passing through the pipes 28a, 28b.
