Abstract
PURPOSE:To pulverize the clinker into minute powder so as to be able to utilize as soil improver and the like by a process wherein the clinker produced in the coal firing boiler is led togehter with water to a separator and the clinker with larger size separated in the separator is treated by crushing with a mill and the like. CONSTITUTION:The clinker in red heat state produced in the coal firing boiler (not shown) is firstly received by falling off in a hopper A stored with water. Secondly, the clinker water is introduced in the separator B such as liquid cyclone or the like in order to separate water and dust clinker constituent having the size of the order of no more than 70 micrometers from the clinker water. The unseparated clinker water, which contains large particles size clinker constituent, is sent back through a dewatering screeen C to said separator B. The clinker dewatered at the screen C is dried at a drying room D and, after that, crushed into pulverized state by means of a mill E to be taken out. On the other hand, the clinker water containing dust linker constituent at the separator B is sent to a sedimentation tank F and the sediment separated at the tank F is introduced through a waste water pit 43 to the screeen C.
