Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of noise during overflowing by slowly flowing overflow from a flexible membranous expand dam whose top end part is provided with a flexible membrane for buffering water falling downwards.
CONSTITUTION: A flexible membranous expand dam is provided with a flexible membranous cover 2 in the direction of crossing at least river bed of a river, and the cover 2 is expanded by supplying a fluid or shrunk by discharging the fluid from inside. In this case, one end of a falling water-buffering membrane 3 as a rubber-covered cloth film, for example, is fixed from the top to the upstream side of the cover 2 composing the dam body, and the other end is fixed to the river bed on the downstream side in such a way that the membrane 3 is sloped at a gentle angle. Or, plural flexible membranous covers whose heights are lowered stepwise are fixed at intervals in the direction of flow of river water. Thus, the overflow from the dam can be slowly flowed and thereby the occurrence of noise can be prevented.
