Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the construction of strong breakwater even in deep sea area by a method in which a number of piles are driven into the ground of seabed and then breaker blocks are filled in spaces surrounded by the piles and at the same time the piles are connected with each other by floor plates.
CONSTITUTION: A number of piles 2 are driven at regular intervals into the ground from a seabed ground 1 to water surface so that a space 3 whose whole plane form is long rectangular is formed. And, at the lower parts of these piles 2, a bottom floor plate 4 is fixed at the same level as the seabed ground 1 and also the piles 2 on the floor plate 4 are thrust with the first auxiliary pipe 6, an intermediate floor plate 7, and the second auxiliary pipe 8 in order. The second auxiliary pipe 8 is provided with a framework 10 by laying it crossways. And, a number of breaker blocks 11 are filled in a space 3 surrounded by the framework 10 and the piles 2. Thus, the construction of breakwater can be performed strongly and at low cost even in deep sea area.
