Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the period of construction and to look to the safety of operation by using a working barge consisting of a main concave float and auxiliary balanceing floats equipped at four corners on the upper surface of this main float.
CONSTITUTION: A working barge 1 consists of a main concave float 4 divided by partition plates 21, 22, 23, a fixed wall 5 which blocks the rear end of the main float 4, a turn-over gate 6 which open and shuts the front opening. Four auxiliary balancing floats 101, 102, 103, 104, are provided on the main concave float 4. Water is supplied into the main float 4 of the working barge, is caused to sink and is fixed on the working mound. A hollow concrete structure is constructed on the working barge 1 and is caused to float up and is towed to the water surface above the launching mound. Then, the hollow concrete structure floats up by its own buoyancy, is pulled out of the turn-over gate 6 and is towed to sink at its constructing place.
