Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a cold-rolled steel plate of superior press formability with good thermal efficiency by a continuous annealing method by heating and holding a cold-rolled steel at above its recrystallization temperature, then cooling the same under specific conditions and applying overaging treatment. CONSTITUTION:A cold-rolled steel plate is quickly heated from room temperature to up to a temperature T2 above its recrystallization temperature, whereby it is subjected to recrystallization annealing for a predetermined time. In this case, if it is quickly heated at a rate h1 up to the temperature T1 above the recrystallization temperature and below the A1 transformation temperature and if in succession to this it is slowly heated at a rate h2 down to the annealing temperature T2 above the A1 transformation temperature and below about 850 deg.C, better recrystallization structure may be obtained. Following to this, it is quickly cooled down to 650 deg.C-A1 transformation point T3 at 5-40 deg.C/sec. cooling rates C1 after the recrystallization annealing, thence it is quickly cooled down to overaging initiating temperature T4 of 300-500 deg.C at 50-500 deg.C/sec. cooling rates C2. At this time, the rates C1, C2 are so set as to become the product of cooling rates C1XC2=600-5,000( deg.C/sec)<2> and C2/C1>=3. After quick cooling to a temperature T4, overaging treatment is applied in succession.
