Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain high-yield manufacture at low cost by welding and sticking lead wires onto electrodes provided on the surfaces of a thermistor element, and then by sealing weld zones of those lead wires, thermistor element and electrodes with glass.
CONSTITUTION: On surfaces of thermistor element 1, electrodes 2 and 3 are provided. Next, lead wires 4 and 5 are welded and stuck onto electrodes 2 and 3. Next, thermistor element 1, electrodes 2 and 3, and weld zones 7 of lead wires 4 and 5 are coated with glass powder having a thermal expansion coefficient nearly equal to that of thermistor element 1 and the powder is fused by being heated to seal the entirety in glass 6.
