Abstract

Drive shafts of the drive gears 4, 5 and an output shaft of the servo- motor 16 for indexing and driving the turn table 1 are connected through transmission mechanisms including helical gears 24, 25, 27, 28. The helical gears 24, 25 selected on the drive side or the driven side of the transmission mechanisms are allowed to move axially. By helical angle effect due to the movements of both the helical gears, the drive gears, 4, 5 are verly slightly rotated reversly to lock the driven gear 2 with no rotation at all so that the turn table 1 is locked without backlash.
