Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-output laser beam by forming a high-tension wire in a coaxial shape with a conductor as the central figure wherein the wire is used for a high-tension and current supply circuit for a high-tension side electrode and covered with a solid insulator, insulating gas and a solid insulator in order from the inside. CONSTITUTION:A high-tension side electrode 12 covered with dielectric 14 and a low-tension side electrode 10 are oppositely provided in a container 22 filling carbon oxide or the like. The electrode 10 is connected to the container 22 through a grunding conductor 11. Both ends of the electrode 12 are connected to cooling pipes 44a and 44b respectively through insulating boards 46 penetrating through the container 22 wall and the electrode 12 is cooled by flowing cooling water in the cooling pipes 44a, 44b. A high-tension wire 36 is connected to the central section of the electrode 12 through a high-tension bushing 42 and an insulating board 56. One end of the wire is connected to an AC power source 34 provided at the outside of the container 22.
