Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the performance characteristics of a polarized electromagnet by employing split pole pieces for one of the pole pieces sandwiching a permanent magnet so that the pole pieces and a yoke are contacted without a gap. CONSTITUTION:Contacting with the N pole P1 of a permanent magnet 1 of rerrite, cobalt or the like having a great magnetic force, split pole pieces 3 and 4 are placed in the direction of the magnetic axis L and displaced from the center, and a pole piece 2 is kept in contact with the S pole P2 to form a movable block V having gaps A and B between the pole pieces 2 and 3, and 2 and 4 in the direction crossing the magnetic axis L respectively. The gaps A and B are so arranged that the movable block V reciprocates to shaft portions 6a and 6b of a yoke 6 equipped with a coil 5 in the direction crossing the magnetic axis L. Thus, at each stationary position the pole pieces and the yoke can be contacted without a gap, consequently, the performance characteristics can be stabilized.
