Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a contaminated degree of lubricant constant by a method wherein waste oil is continuously flowed into a fuel tank by controlling an amount thereof mechanically with an oil pressure produced upon an operation of an engine while fresh oil is supplemented by an operation of a float valve so as to keep a predetermined amount of the lubricant within an oil pan all the times. CONSTITUTION:A supplementing line 22 supplying lubricant into a diesel engine 21 from a supplementing tank 20 is arranged so as to be opened within an oil pan 24 through a float valve device 23. The float valve device 23 is constituted so that a level of the lubricant can be kept at a constant level by a valve body 27 controlling a fresh oil passageway 28 from the supplementing line 22 while opened or closed due to up-and-down motions of a float 26 in accordance with the level of the lubricant. A waste oil line 30 is connected to the engine 21 so as to introduce the waste oil measured from a place where an oil pressure is acting by means of a mechanical means, while the other end thereof is connected to a fuel returning line 33 returning the fuel from a fuel injection pump 31 in a fuel system to a fuel tank 32 so as to be capable of burning treatment.
