PURPOSE:To expedite the mixing of oil to fuel and ensure a good performance of an engine, by interposing a mixing promoting means in the junction of removed oil and supply fuel in the oil pressure system of a diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:To an oil pan 2 of an engine 1 engine oil is supplied from an oil tank 3. The oil removed from a discharge oil pump 6 is fed to a soot collector 31 and caught dropping in an oil sump 31a with soot from an exhaust pipe 23. A mixing promoting means 30 is interposed between return pipes 13, 13' for returning surplus fuel from an injection pump 12 to a fuel tank 11, and the oil from the oil sump 31a including soot and the surplus fuel are fully mixed together. In this way, a mixing condition of the oil to the fuel can be equalized to ensure a good performance of the engine and promote the dissolution of soot for the fuel.
