Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrieve the uniform stretching of the film by a device of a simple device by providing two water absorbing tank, uniformly softening one of the water absorbing tank, and stretching the film by the pressure from the interior and suction and humidification from the outside. CONSTITUTION:An unstretched or uniaxial-stretched annular film 22 is shifted while holding a pair of supply rolls 1 and 1, and sent into the inlet part 30 of a water absorbing tank 2 and pressed against the inner wall of the inlet part by the absorbing force due to the pressure reduced groove 3. The film is heated and softened while passing through a hot water tank 5, and is sent to a second water absorbing tank 6. Then, the film is expanded by a gas from a pressure gas feeding pipe 15 and subjected to lateral stretching until it is pressed against the inner wall of the second water absorbing tank. At the shoulder part of the stretched film there is provided a hot water reservoir 11, whereby the stretching is performed completely and uniformly. The stretching of the film is assisted by adsorbing air from a suction port 61.
