Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a sluice effective in a water intake area and the water displacement area by a method wherein a nonpermeable film is lowered from a float located at an intermediate place between a cooling water intake and a discharging outlet thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A film material 5 of nonpermeability is lowered from a float 6 in a posture parallel to or approximately parallel to the water running direction, from an intermediate place between the both intake and outlet 1, 4 under the condition in which a colling water intake 1 and the discharging outlet thereof 4 are relatively come near to each other and the water running direction of these are parallel or approximately parallel. Even when the tide comes to its highest water level, the film material 5 has a sufficient vertical width to reach from the water surface to the sea bottom. A heavy weight 7 such as a chain et al is attached to the lower end of the film material 5, and the upper end of the film material is linked with an anchor blocks 9, 9 sunk at the sea bottom by means of wire ropes 8, 8 to prevent an unexpected change of position.
