Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a submerged wave-dissipator which can withstand tidal current due to its flexibility by making up a submerged embankment of a flexible structure consisting of a flexible bag, a fluid filling the flexible bag, a netting to cover the bag and to fix it to the seabed, and anchors. CONSTITUTION:A flexible structure submerged embankment consisting mainly of a flexible sheet bag 1, a fluid 7 such as water, sea water, etc., packed in the bag 1, a netting part 2 to cover the surface of the bag 1, and anchors 9 to fix the end of the part 2 to the seabed 3. The bag 1 is set on the recessed part 3a excavated in the seabed ground 3 in such a form that the whole form is a semicircular shape with a curved top place 4 on its upside and also with a horizontal bottom plate 5. A sheet 8 is interposed between the bag 1 and the seabed 3. The bag 1 can thus be easily fixed to the seabed to obtain a submerged wave dissipator having a high breaking resistance against tide and a high wave-dissipating function.
