Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the subject material from corrosion under a dry and wet condition produced due to the flactuation in a water level, by a method wherein, in a corrosion-proof device for a steel sheet pile partition used at the sea coast and the like, corrosion-proof cover is attached at one side of steel sheet pile driven underwater in a row, and a space between said corrosion-proof cover and the steel sheet pile is filled with stuffing.
CONSTITUTION: Steel sheet piles 1 having Z-shaped cross section are driven in a row which is shaped in concavitities and convexities. Hook edges 4a and 4a' are secured on an outer surface of a convex portion of said row by welding so that the hook edges are positioned facing and opposite to each other. A pair of rest claws so formed are placed on each outer surface of the convex portion. Shape steels, which form a corrosion-proof cover, are mounted at the steel sheet piles 1, and the formation of said corrosion-proof cover is such that hook edges 2a and 2a', which are projectedly located at both edges of the shape steel 2 having a double crank-shaped cross section, are interlocked with the hook edges 4a and 4a' placed at said steel sheet pile 1. A falling prevention member (not shown), which supports a lower end of the corrosion-proof cover at the lowest limit position of an expected flactuation in a water level, is located at the steel sheet pile 1. A spacer 3 is positioned between the shape steel 2 and the steel sheet pile 1, and prevents the corrosion-proof cover from expansion produced when said space is filled with stuffing.
