Abstract
PURPOSE: To suppress a transient high output voltage at the time of start, by superposing the DC voltage which breaks with the prescribed time constant from the time of start, on the saw-tooth signal.
CONSTITUTION: When the power supply switch is turned on, and a ripple voltage appears at the point (a), the constant voltae VB for operation is built up by the resistor 4, the Zener diode 5 and the capacitor 6. As a result, a charging current flows into the capacitor 32 by the route which passes through the capacitor 32 and the resistors 31, 15 from the line of voltage VB, and said current becomes a damping current decided by the time constant consisting of the capacity of the capacitor 32, and the resistance value which has added the resistors 31 and 15. Therefore, immediately after the power supply switch has been turned on, since charge of the capacitor 32 is zero at first, the voltage VB is directly applied to the series circuit of the resistors 31 and 15, this voltage is divided by the resistors 31 and 15 and appears at the point (b), and in consequence, it is superposed on the saw-tooth voltage.
