Abstract

PURPOSE: Very fine particles of carbon black and a soluble high polymer are added to an aqueous solution of inorganic compound or organic solvent to disperse the high-concentration carbon black uniformly in the solution or solvent to provide title spinning dope.
CONSTITUTION: In (A) an aqueous solution of inorganic compound or organic solvent, preferably a solvent for polyacrylonitrile or polymer containing acrylonitrile, are dispersed (B) very fine particles of carbon black and (C) a high polymer soluble in component A, preferably a compolymer from unsaturated monomers bearing ionically dissociating groups such as acrylic, methacrylic or p-styrenesulfonic acid or polymer containing acrylonitrile to give the objective spinning dope.
EFFECT: The resultant dope does not clot spinning nozzles to improve the spinnability.
