Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform effective defulfurization operation through reduced draft resistance in the dry type smoke desulfurization process using an activated semicoke by a method wherein waste gas is brought into contact at right angle with a desulfurizing agent which is moving, and the process of adsorption-desorption is subject to a classification process.
CONSTITUTION: The activated semicoke is used as the desulfurizing agent in the dry type smoke desulfurization equipment. The desulfurizing agent 501 is placed between supports 502 such as metal nets and is moved from upper to lower, during which the combustion waste gas is passed at right angle so that it is adsorbed. Then, the desulfurizing agent is desorbed and regenerated in the heat-desorption column 507. The pulverizes part of the desulfurizing agent is returned from the flow 519 to the boiler. Depending on the size of the pulverized desulfurizing agent, it selects a desulfurization section and is circulated from the flows 520, 521. This reduces the draft resistance of combustion gas and achieves a treatment effective in both the amount and ratio of desulfurization.
