Abstract
PURPOSE: To regenerate absorbent for desulfurization effectively by making H2S absorb into manganese ferrite absorbent under reducing atmosphere and making SO2 separate by heating in the range of a prescribed temperature under the existence of oxygen.
CONSTITUTION: Metallic oxide having the ratio of Mn:Fe=0.8W1.2:1.8W2.2, for example MnFe2O4, is preferable as manganese ferrite absorbent. For example, the gas generated from the coal gas process is suited for reducing atmosphere and in this case, H2S is incorporated as sulfur component. The absorption of H2S is preferably performed at 300W500°C temperature, and the treatment under the existence of oxygen is performed in the range defined by 600W900°C temp.
