Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an accumulator suited for the supply of ink to an ink-jet head by composing the same of an elastic bag which is formed of a hard and thick elastic substance in the most part thereof and a soft and thin elastic substance only in the small part of the lower central part thereof, and of a means for feeding the compressed air to the bag. CONSTITUTION:In the accumulator 12 provided for absorbing the pulsatory motion of ink between a pump 11 giving pressure to the ink in an ink reservoir tank 9 and an ink-jet head, the elastic bag 21 is fitted in the upper part of the inside of the main body 20 of the accmulator. The bag is formed of the hard and thick rubber 21A in the most part thereof and of the soft and thin rubber 21B only in the small part of the lower surface of the central part thereof, and the thickness of the part where both parts are connected is changed gradually. In the above of these parts a compressed-air injection port 23 equipped with an electromagnetic valve 22 is provided. It is preferable that a bypass pipe 24 for releasing air is provided in the lateral side of the main body 20.
