Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a source of positive and negative pressures easily by circulating and utilizing water in a closed tank with the use of a jet pump.
CONSTITUTION: A closed tank 1 has projected from its lower portion a water drainage pipe 11 and a return pipe 12, which are linked together by a conduit via a high-pressure pump 13 and a jet pump 14. Water is drawn from the closed tank 1 through the drainage pipe 11 and pressurized by the high-pressure pump 13. When water thus pressurized is blown into the return pipe 12 from a nozzle 18 of the jet pump 14, outside air is drawn in from an end of the return pipe 12 or an outside air conduit pipe 16 and put into the closed tank 1 together with the pressurized water. As a result, the pressure inside a decompression tank connected to an end of the return pipe 12 becomes negative while an empty room 3 inside the closed tank 1 becomes compressed.
