Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent overheat of an end of a fuel discharge pipe in a unit which preheats suction air by igniting and burning an outflow fuel from the fuel discharge pipe by use of an electric wire, by automatically discharging fuel at a point when a temperature of the electric wire reaches a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch 4 is closed for starting an engine, a current feed to an electric wire 1 and charging of a condenser 10 begin. At the time, transistors Tr14, Tr16 are turned on to light a lamp 24, which indicates a sign of under preheating. When the electric wire 1 and the end of the fuel discharge pipe are completely preheated and a terminal voltage of the capacitor 10 exceeds a Zener voltage of a constant-voltage diode 11, a Tr12 is on and the Tr14 is off. At the same time, a Tr20 and a Tr22 are turned on. As a current flows through an electrode coil 2, a solenoid valve is opened to feed a fuel through the fuel discharge pipe. The fuel is ignited by the electric wire and burned to warm a suction air.
