Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform working such as cutting efficiently by adjacently piercing holes by laser spots at small intervals along the holing line of the work then piercing holes by spots between these holes. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is output from a timing control part 13 to a laser control part 12, a laser oscillator 10 outputs laser pulses of a fixed period and pierces hole a in the work 4. Next, the control part 13 outputs a signal to a time rotation control part 9 which in turn causes a rotator 1 to be rotated by an angle theta by a pulse motor 7, so that the next hole b is pierced in the work 4. In a similar manner, the holes a, b, c for one circumference are continuously pierced on the holding line. Thence, the rotator 1 is so shifted as to come to the intermediate positions of the pierced holes a, b, c and the holes A, B, C for one circumference are pierced. At this time, the shortest distance between the holes a, b, c is smaller than the diameters of the holes A, B, C and therefore the particles evaporated and flown during piercing do not accumulate in the already pierced holes and the cutting work is executed with good efficiency.
