Abstract

PURPOSE: To endow the titled plate with high sensitivity to a wide wavelength region and to enhance durability, by forming a composite type structure consisting of a mixture of a copper phthalocyanine pigment and a specified disazo dye as a charge generating substance and a specified compound as a charge transfer substance.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of a disazo type pigment represented by formula I in which X is OCH3 or Cl, and a copper phthalocyanine pigment is used for a charge generating substance, and a compound represented by formula II in which Y is a heterocyclic group of formula III, IV, V, or VI, optionally substituted by lower alkyl, Cl, Br, alkylamino such as N(CH3)2, alkoxy, or phenyl; Z is O or S; R1, R2 are 3 or less C alkyl; and n is 0 or 1 is used for a charge transfer substance. A composite type electrophotographic plate consists of said 3 substances, and has high sensitivity to 500W825nm wide wavelength region, superior durability, and superior repeated use characteristics, and it can be formed into an optional shape such as sheet or cylinder.
