Accordingly, loss of the fiber 4 and base band characteristic of f0 of the fiber 4 can be measured from DC component and f0 component, respectively, by separating DC component and f0 component by the receiver 6. In addition, a pulse reflected by the point of the distance l among a lot of reflected pulses can be caught at the end of incidence by separating and measuring the reflected pulse by the time area.
