Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately specify a trouble point in an optical transmitting system by providing a rear scattered light measuring system at the fixed device side and inputting a signal for measuring transmitted from a moving device side to the rear scattered light measuring system. CONSTITUTION:To an input-output port 43c for supervising light of a light mixing dividing wave device 43, a rear scattered light measuring system 44 is connected. A pulse signal S5 outputted from a control supervising part 45 is converted, by an electric light converting part 46, to the light pulse signal of a wave length lambda 3 and reaches a mirror 55 through an optical fiber 60, an optical fiber reel 51 of a moving device 50 and an input-output port 52c of a light mixing dividing wave device 52. When the light transmitting system is normal, the signal is reflected at the mirror 55, and the power distribution of the rear scattered light can be measured at the control supervising part 45. When the optical fiber 60 is interrupted in the path, since a waveform is lost at the interrupting point of the optical fiber 60, it can be detected at the control supervising part 45 that the optical fiber 60 is interrupted in the path.
