Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform measurement with high precision by the simple circuit structure, by providing a counting part which counts the number of repetitions of 2 kinds of electric signals which are out of phase, from the detector, a phase detection part which detects the phase in the repetitive period of the detecting signal, and also a display part which displays a digital measuring value by compounding a counting value of the counting part and that of the phase detection part.

CONSTITUTION: 2 Kinds of detecting signals which are out of phase, from the detector 10 such as a linear scale, etc. enter into the counting part consisting of a four divided circuit 18 and a counter 20, and the number of repetitions is supplied to the display part by 4 pieces at every cycle. On the other hand, detecting signals 100, 200 are supplied to the hold circuits 22, 24 of the phase detection part 14, enter into the hold signal conversion circuits 26, 28, are subjected to signal conversion by the number of divisions in due course in the ratio decided in advance, and are transmitted to the composite circuit 30. The phase counting circuit 34 performs the multidivision in the period of repetition, and its output controls the conversion ratio of the signal conversion circuits 26, 28 through the scanning control circuit 36. The signal from the composite circuit 30 outputs of phase value through the comparator 32 and the phase counting circuit 34, and is compounded with a counting value of the counting part 12 in the composite display part 16. Thus, it is possible to perform measurement with high precision by the simple circuit.
