Abstract

PURPOSE: To monitor operational condition of an engine such as that of a bus by indicating the rotational frequency beyond that under the optimum economical requirements and integrated value of time in which the engine has been run beyond the economical rotational frequency.
CONSTITUTION: Rotational frequency of an engine is detected by a detector 1 and taken out as signal R. Frequency signal R is converted to voltage signal VR to be supplied to comparators 21aW21h for indicating the rotational frequency and compared with the reference voltage VaWVh corresponding to rotational frequency indications while being supplied to the comparator 23 to be compared with the reference voltage corresponding to the economical rotational frequency. The comparator 23 generates the output excess signal Vsx of the reference every time the rotational frequency exceeds the economical one. This signal Vsx is applied to the input of a counter 6 to be counted and displayed. Also, the excess signal Vsx is supplied to a gate 8 to operate an integrating circuit of excess time of the reference for displaying integrated time.
