Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the defect reliably by detecting the detect of band material in the reel process while performing the marking with proper interval from the defective position then detecting said marking in the winder process and performing deceleration and stopping. CONSTITUTION:When a defective point is detected by a defect detector 2 in the winding work, a detection signal is provided to an operational controller 9, which starts counting of te pulse input to a pulse oscillator 8, and provides an output to a marking device 3 with constant interval from the defective point thus performing the marking. Consequently the roll 7 is wound on a drum 31 driven by a motor 30. The marking applied in the reel process is detected by a mark detector 32 the output of which is provided together with the output signal from a pulse oscillator 34 directly coupled with the motor to an operational controller 33 to calculate the distance to the defective point.
