Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent freezing failure in cold districts by a method wherein a solar heat absorbing panel and a radiating panel in a hot water tank are connected through a coupling pipe to constitute a closed circuit, and the closed circuit is filled with a heat medium solution low in freezing temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A sunshine sensor switch 10 detects whether or not the sunshine is adaptable quantitatively and if so, then a pump 4 is driven by a motor 9. A heat medium solution low in freezing temperature starts circulating, comes into a control flume 17a in a solar heat absorbing panel 1 from an accepting pipe 18 and is then distributed to each absorption pipe 5. The heat medium solution is heated by the solar heat and then reaches a radiating panel 2 in a hot water tank 3 by way of delivery pipe 19, rubber hose 6b. After heating a supply water 13 coming in contact with a radiation fin, the solution is returned to suction side of the pump 4 through a hose 6a. Hot water in the tank 3 runs on natural convection and is fed to demand side, as occasion demands, through an extraction pipe 14.
