Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent freeze securely by a method wherein a heat collector and a pipe drained by actuating a valve provided midway on the pipe when either temperature of the heat collector or temperature of the pipe connecting the heat collector and a heat accumulator tank becomes lower than a set point.
CONSTITUTION: The heat collector 1 and the heat accumulator tank 2 are connected with a forward pipe 7 and a return pipe 8, thus constituting a circulating system for heat collection. Then, temperature sensors 5, 6, 61 are provided in the heat collector 1 and on the heat accumulator tank 2 and the pipe 8 respectively, and each output is put in a controlling device 4. when heat collector temperature Tc and heat accumulator tank temperature Tt bring about a difference according to sunset which is lower than a set point, the controlling device 4 operates to turn off a pump relay 62 and a pump 3. Where the temperature Tc further drops, for example, below 2°C, a low temperature thermorelay 52 is turned off and motor-driven cross valves 30, 31 are also turned off to drain the heat collector 1 and the pipes 7, 8. Furthermore, where the air temperature drops, for example, below -2°C, a pipe temperature thermorelay 63 is turned off and a heat insulating heater 51 is turned on.
